Yin Yoga & Sound Bath
Nourish your mind, body and soul with Jess and Paige this November and delve deep into the waters of the darker months.
Winter asks us to preserve and protect Yang energy, to allow ourselves to gently fall back into hibernation; safety, ease and restoration. During the downtime, we take guidance from the natural world - our roots are nurtured and our energy is refuelled. The season gives us permission to enjoy a much needed reprieve from all the activity of the previous months. It’s a chance to check-in and tend to things closer to home.
Wintertime represents the pinnacle of Yin; darkness, slowness, and inwardness. As we prepare to be enveloped in its embrace, the essence of the Water element in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) permeates our surroundings, offering an opportunity for introspection and alignment with nature’s rhythms.
The wisdom of water is its incredible strength, it carves rock and shapes the entire earth, but without force. The Water element allows for adaptation to all of life’s changes, challenges and stresses. Jess will guide you through a Yin practice to balance this powerful element – expect to use props to support and hold the body as we find and meet our edges without force. Yielding and leaning into those dark and mysterious places of body and mind, as we begin to let go of what no longer serves. A space to self-reflect, nurture what has been and honour the potential of new energy.
We will then pause for hot tea, warming treats and a moment of contemplation before being guided by Sound and Reiki Therapist, Paige, on a transformative journey with the powerful healing frequencies of crystalline bowls, chimes, shamanic drums and light language singing. A truly magical experience. where melodic, carefully constructed, soothing vibrations wash the body, cultivating the deepest levels of relaxation and release in our cosy, candlelit studio.
May this gathering be an invitation to absorb calm, sink within yourself and float in stillness. Leave feeling wholeheartedly rested and restored.
