Kids Yoga

Grab your wildlings for some children’s yoga classes this summer holidays. Amelia shares the benefits below…

Last year I qualified as a ‘Class Yoga’ kids yoga teacher. What does this mean? Well, the ethos of the Class Yoga Course I took is that kids can do real yoga - similar to an adult class but adapted for various ages! This means children can truly reap the benefits of this practice in a meaningful and mindful way.

Classes may include simple games, partner poses, fun adaptations of the classic Sun Salutations, child-friendly breathing practices and much more. Always ending with a guided relaxation and a chime on the singing bowl. These classes will equip children by helping them:

  • Build resilience and confidence,

  • Support their mental health and well-being,

  • Improve co-ordination and movement skills,

  • Develop body awareness,

  • Aid in emotional regulation,

  • Develop self-esteem and empathy,

  • Improve concentration and focus.
